Norfund - the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries
Norfund invests in profitable and sustainable companies in some of the world’s poorest countries and most challenging markets. Our aim is to contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction, and we have the largest specialized team in Norway for investments in developing countries.
Norfund focus on three sectors in which our investments have the largest impact: clean energy, financial institutions and agribusiness. The main region for investment is Sub-Saharan Africa with regional offices in Nairobi, Ghana and Maputo. Further, Norfund invests in selected countries in Asia and Central America with regional office in Bangkok and in San José.
The current portfolio of Norfund is USD 2.4 billion and the company has 75 employees.
